Right now I’m watching Samsara at my sister’s and there was a very interesting scene. Buddhist monks were standing around a table and there was a Buddhist symbol on the table. Beautiful, detailed, colourful. It’s made of stone powder and it must have taken hours if not days to create it. It looks unbelievably beautiful. Then they destroy it. In seconds. Using brushes and their hands.
It made me think of fragility of life: no matter how hard you work on something it can vanish in moments or you can destroy everything in moments with just a wave of your hand in a second. With or without knowing it. With or without intention.
For dust you are, and to dust you will return.
